I’m Kelsey—the creative behind Porch + Pine. I’m a native east Texan that begrudgingly moved even deeper into the pineywoods to my husband’s hometown. Much to my surprise, I ended up falling hard and finding inspiration among these trees. My husband and I built our forever home a few years ago where we now raise our two young children, a dog and a herd of cattle.

My love for design was sparked during the home building process. Self contracting our new build was such an exhilarating learning experience. I found immense joy in each task: selecting paint colors, touring slab yards in search of the perfect countertops, meeting with vendors and working with sub contractors. Once we completed our home and moved in, I was thrilled to feel rooted in this space yet felt a longing for the design process that had become my creative outlet.

Thus, Porch + Pine was born.
