3 Coffee Mugs I'm Always Reaching For

Coffee is one of my most favorite things about each day. I look forward to brewing a hot mug of black coffee and enjoying it in silence while the rest of the house sleeps. Few things can take my coffee drinking experience to the next level like using a favorite mug. Here are the three coffee mugs I’m always reaching for.

one. Any Rae Dunn mug is a good mug to own. These can be found at TJ Maxx, Homegoods and Marshalls and are known for their simple words and short phrases in black hand lettered fonts. I love them for their simplistic nature and more organic, imperfect shapes.

two. Technically this isn’t a mug. It’s a leather mug hugger (slips right over a wide mouth mason jar) from Portland Leather Goods and is quite possibly my most used purchase. No lie. I love it (and coffee) that much. If you love the warm smell of leather + freshly brewed coffee, then you know you need this in your life. It really enhances the coffee drinking experience. I’m convinced that the leather sleeve keeps the coffee at prime drinking temperature for longer—not as long as a stainless cup would, but longer than your traditional mug. Perhaps the best selling point for this leather beauty is the customizable fire brand AND color options. These make beautiful gifts.

three. This Ello stainless steel vacuum insulated travel mug is a game changer. I know Yeti-style mugs are super popular but they miss the mark for aesthetics as far as I’m concerned. I was pretty excited to find this on clearance at Target last year but assumed it was on clearance for a reason and would be pretty, but lacking in functionality. Wrong. I typically don’t drink out of this at home but love it for days that I’m on the go. Available at Target and for under $12. If you like your drinks to stay at optimal drinking temperature for several hours, this is a great option!
