Brunch with Kids in Frisco

Brunch with Kids in Frisco

The kids and I discovered the best little brunch spot in Frisco last month. I typically don’t love trying new places by myself with children in tow. I like to know exactly what kind of vibe I’m walking into especially if I have Remi and Ruby with me. I wanted something different than what I can find in east Texas—preferably with coffee and a kid-friendly atmosphere. A brief social media search of this particular restaurant showed me that they regularly host mom meet-ups among other fun events so I quickly decided that this would be the place for us!

UP Inspired Kitchen, you’re my new love.

Let’s hit the high points.

  • Aesthetic

We all know I’m a sucker for pretty. I’m greatly influenced by my surroundings so I appreciate a beautiful setting. Featuring a sunny color scheme, the dining area is a definite mood booster. The interior of UP is the perfect combination of comfortable, casual, trendy and timeless and the exterior patio area is an extension that. Unfortunately, it was cold and windy the morning that we visited or my kids would have taken full advantage of the play house that they have on site!

  • Mission

“To inspire you to feel your best so you can be your best” OK, SOLD. I planned on ordering pancakes or something of the like but I was inspired by one of the healthier items on their menu and opted for the sweet steel bowl. I was NOT disappointed. Other appropriate mission-based descriptions found on the UP site: “Chef Driven. Fast Casual. Honestly Sourced.” Who could argue with that?!

  • Taste

As I mentioned earlier, I ordered the sweet steel bowl. I’m a huge fan of oats in any form but rarely take the time to make steel cut oats at home. This was a real treat! The kids ordered traditional breakfasts to share: pancakes, eggs, fruit, toast, CHICKEN sausage (they loved it)! My latte was perfect. I’m already planning my order for the return trip. Kombucha mimosa, bone broth, biscuits & GRÜVY, anyone??

Overall, I’m so pleased with our decision to dine here on the way back to east Texas. Perhaps the highlight of the entire visit was meeting Rae, the owner. I initially had no idea that the kind lady who kept the stellar service coming during our meal was the owner! She introduced herself as we were leaving and was bright and bubbly just like her restaurant. Thank you, Rae and UP Inspired Kitchen for a wonderful brunch experience! We will be back!

Check out UP on Facebook and Instagram and this post for a few cuties you may recognize!
